Personally for plastic interior pcs I use aerospace 303. If you like matte finish just wipe it off a second time and you are good to go.

You should specify your Meguiars product since there are good ones.

I use Meguiars all purpose cleaner for cleaning and Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer for protection (no shine).

What exactly are you looking to clean? Do you have actual dirt and grime buildup, or are you simply seeking something for routine cleaning/dusting?

I personally dislike those wipes as well. You might be pleasantly surprised with Quik Interior Detailer as a cleaner and added UV protection with no added gloss or sheen to the dash. Just a new look. Safe to use on leather, vinyl and plastic including the LCD display. No lingering unpleasant odor either.

If you are just doing a light cleaning, simply wipe down with a slightly damp (with warm water) cloth to remove dust from the surface & then dry with a fresh towel. Then protect the surface with something like 303 Aerospace Protectant (as already mentioned) or Einszett Cockpit Premium. These higher end protectants will not harm your dash like many of the solvent based products found at local auto parts stores.

If you have some major dirt buildup that needs to be cleaned, I would recommend spraying a diluted all purpose cleaner like Meguiar's D101 (10:1, waterroduct) on the surface, and then lightly agitating with a vinyl/leather brush. Next, carefully wipe the surfaces down with a damp cloth to remove any residual cleaners (this may need to be repeated several times), then wipe dry with a fresh towel. Now you can apply a protection product.

I find that just using 303 Aerospace cleans dust and adds UV protection in one step.

Yes walmart should have it, it's "over the counter" type of product that most auto parts should carry so you don't have to order online.

I'm a fan of Auto Finesse Total for cleaning (its an interior-dedicated APC) and Auto Finesse Spritz for dressing interiors (leaves a matte, dry finish). I think Detailers Domain and AG carry Auto Finesse products in the US.

I like Aerospace 303 or ulima Interior Guard Plus to treat. To clean, use a dilited APC or Mothers VLR. I even have some Meguires Quick Interior detailer that is ok.

Sounds strange but I use a product called "Wet Ones", they are actually wipes for kids. they clean well and won't dry out your vinyl/leather or plastics....just my 2 cents.

Default ArmorAll

So what's the problem with ArmorAll (original)? I've used this on dashboard tops and other vinyl areas, and on rubber weatherstripping for years with no problems.

For mild cleaning of plastics and leather I just use Woolite diluted in water, then I spray Aerospace 303 for UV protection on the dash and plastic pieces. 303 does not leave a glossy sticky finish and leaves a nice clean non shiny look.
