It's been a while since I got to detail a car. This is a complete new car prep. I had Suntek PPF-C Ultra installed over the complete front end by Wrap Armor, Suntek CIR 35% front tint and 50% in the rear installed by Mind Automotive, and Cquartz UK 3.0 installed by myself.
This was my first time using a Cquartz coating, but I've been a huge fan of all the other Carpro products.
Starter Package:
This was taken when I finished applying the coating
15 hours into curing
The whole process took me about 8 hours for coating install with breaks/lunch or 6 hours of actual working time. The car itself is 1 month old and has less than 1k miles. There were only a few light scratches here and there.
Car wash - 30 Minutes
Clay bar - 35 Minutes
Single Stage polishing - 2.5 hours
Carpro Eraser wipe down - 20 minutes
Cquarts UK application - 1.75 hours.
Some notes from my experience with Cquartz UK 3.0
- This is one of the most forgiving coatings that I've ever worked with. Some of the marks were able to be wiped off up to 45 minutes later.
- I used less than I was expecting to. I bought a 50mL bottle thinking I'd use around 35mL, but in reality I used about 15-20mL for the entire car.
- This product clogs the towels much quicker than other coatings. I found myself changing towels often which is annoying because the towels are trash once the coating touches it.
- The smell isn't as strong compared to other coatings I've used.
*Edit* Adding a photo of the beading after full cure/ 1 week

Lexus Champion
Gave my new beater a mild polish and full detail the other day! Posting the pictures today as the weather man behaved very well today in Connecticut!
Clayed Bar
Polished with Gyeon Compound & Polish
Prepped with Gyeon Primer
Coated with CarPro Essence & Insulator Wax
Sealed with Sonax Spray Can Ceramic Coating
I’m obsessed with this color - Matador Red Mica! It’s my first Lexus in that color and I love it 😍Also, Windows were tinted yesterday by a good friend of mine!

Here's 3 of mine, 18 hours of prep work and then ceramic coated. I'm getting ready to do my LS400 this coming week! Bring the ABM back to life!

Had some Cquarts UK 3.0 left over, so I decided to coat some wheels. The wheels are brand new, so I did minimal prep work. I spent about 15 minutes per wheel wiping them down with carpro eraser. Each wheel took about 30 minutes to coat since I split it up into 12 sections. Ends up working out to 3 hours/45 minutes per wheel to coat them inside and out.
Now the wheels are fully cured, I regret not using a clay bar as part of the prep process. There are a few spots that are still rough.

Crappy tire or crappy rim? That's a helluva lot of balancing weights you got there!
