Xpel Protective Film
I'd originally posted a similar message elsewhere in this forum and didn't realize this section existed.
Has anyone had Xpel protective film put on their Lexus? If so, are you happy? I had the dealership install it on my new RX 350 a few weeks ago but didn't realize they were using Xpel's second quality level of film (Xtreme) as opposed to their best (Ultimate), which is self-healing, resists wire brush scratches, etc. For a few $ more I'd have preferred the best...but it's too late now.
Biggest issues with this film vs. their best are bug removal methods, I "shouldn't" go through (even safe) car washes with felt brushes and wipes, and I have to sort of baby the film when washing and drying by hand. The Ultimate allows you to do these things without precautions. I would appreciate any helpful comments. Thanks.

Could this just be normal CYA cautions on their part, just in case something happens to the film?
You could just go ahead and clean it using caution and good judgement, then if it degrades replace it with something else and chaulk it up to experience.

My thoughts exactly...though I'll do so within reason.
