I had the same issue, I have a 2010 IS350c, with low mileage. I took it to the dealer and with complaining and pushing I was able to get the factory rep to authorize replacing the entire unit.
still the biggest issue is the glare in the sunlight. with the top down the Navi is almost unusable!
