OCDetailed-**2006 Honda Civic EX** Giggidy Giggidy Goo...
Ok, so this is my car. As you can tell, I use the best products I can get my hands on. First a little bit of background on the car. Its a 2006 Honda Civic EX. 44,000 miles. Mods are nothing major, but as follows:
-Optima Red Top Battery
-AVS window VentShades.
-Window Tint: 20% front doors, 5% rear doors and rear windshield.
-Slotted and Drilled Front brake rotors.
-Hawk HPS Front Brake Pads.
-Custom Ipod Integration (using factory AUX input :word: )
-Blue LED Interior Accent Lighting.
-K&N Drop-in Filter.
-Custom Painted Engine Accents.
-Goodyear Assurance Comfortread Tires in 205/55/16, on factory EX wheels.
-Custom painted calipers and exhaust tip (laugh at the blue tip if you want, its better the the color it was, which was RUST. No matter what I did, it rusted immediately the first winter I had it). Its getting covered soon, as I have a Greddy Exhaust in the mail.
-Chrome Front Liscense Plate frame and Tinted cover.
-Front Plate Flip
I know some of those like the tires, and the liscense plate frames arent "mods" per se, but I like to include them anyway. Well...shall we get started?
Supplies used.
Wash:
-P21s Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo
One of the best body shampoos I have come across. I love this stuff. Its great for foam guns too!
-P21s Total Auto Wash
I love this stuff for getting into places like door jambs and undercarriages. Agitate with a stiff paintbrush.
-P21s Wheel Cleaner
again, good stuff.
Clay:
-Poorboys elastic clay
-LUBER - Synthetic Super Clay Lube
Polish:
-P21S Paintwork Cleanser
-Optimum Polish II
Glaze:
-Poorboys White Diamond Show Glaze
Wax:
- Chemical Guys 5050 Limited Series Concourse Paste Wax
Sealants:
-Jetseal109
-Migliore Wheel Seal
Other Stuff:
-Opti-Bond Tire Gel
-303 Aerospace Protectant
-Chemical Guys Bare Bones Undercarriage Spray
-Chemical Guys Upholstery & Carpet Spot Stain Remover + Odor Eliminator
-Meguiars NXT Glass Cleaner
-Meguiars # 34 Final Inspection
-Simple Green
And now, the pix!
Before:
and After:
Excellent All done...Thanks for looking!
J/K. In all seriousness, I went for a ride the other day and got a little muddy, so I needed to wash the bike while all the crap was out. Heres the Car.

then I'm looking at the before & you say the car is filthy, I'm thinking 'it looks dirty but not 'filthy', but maybe the camera isn't picking it all up' ... scroll down more & see MASSIVE HUGE AMAZING DIFFERENCE
yea man, your car really was filthy, & you're totally OCDetail ... I've got a friend like you w. all the tape
either way ... fabulous job
edit: I just notices the e-brake ... that has got to be the strangest e-brake I've ever seen

Looks great. Cleanest civic I"ve seen so far.
A few things tho about your detail.
-Why so much tape? I have never seen anyone use that much tape before.
-Isn't that too much sealant? A peasized amount is more than enough for one panel. The amount of sealant is used is enough for 10 cars.
Otherwise, the car looks nice!

as far as tape goes, there are alot of nooks and crannys that the wax can get into and cause alot of buildup. i always tape off black trim, and panel seams.

Thats just it though. Jetseal 109 comes in a paste form...more or less. It goes on like a paste wax. I try to use very little, but the applicator pad seems to go dry quickly...its kind of hard to explain.
But thank you for your compliment anyway. Its raining today... I am sad.
