Magna Shield
Recently bought a 04 GX470 at Magnussen Lexus in Fremont. Based on the other threads I read about the Magna Shield it sound that I got ripped off.
When I bought the car, I did not take it home right away due to they were going to apply a magna shield on it. And according to the finance manager, one of the points he said about this is.. the paint will be like mirror like and won't see any swirls on the paint, no need to wax etc. Well, when I went to the car wash the other day, I had it clean and swirls are everywhere.. is it supposed to be like that? How do I really know that they really applied that shield?

Magna Shield sounds nothing more than a glorified sealant. Also, you had their DIS option (dealer installed swirls) when they "prepped" the car for you. I would go back and complain. A lot. Eventually they'll give in. If you are able to, get them to pay for a professional detail because of their BS statement
