Default Has anyone ever used 'Black Again' exterior trim restorer?

Looking for good or bad recommendations for a detailing product called 'Black Again' as seen here:

http://www.detailcity.com/black-agai...FQQRswodq0kr7Q

I have an SC400 and a Nissan truck that could use some 'restoring' of black plastic and rubber trim.

If you have tried it does it work? How long do the effects last?

If you have never tried it what do you use in it's place?

Thanks ...

Never used it, however BlackWOW is amazing stuff. It goes for around $25 but well worth the money. Lasts long and only need a little.

Crap! I just bought a bottle of the Mother's B to B yesterday and tried it out. My initial testing (on flat, oxidized plastic) was very positive (4.5 out of 5).

What type and color of trim did you use it on and how did it "ruin" your trim?

Thanks ...

Have you ever put a layer of sealant over Black Wow to see if it lasts longer? I'm going to try it next time I use it on plastic..

Thanks ... I got it.

I've used 303 Aerospace for the last year with not-so-promising results on my black trim. I was hoping to get 6 months out of an application before re-applying something. The mothers seems to be doing well but this is only after 3 days. Only time will tell.

I just ordered a Porter Cable 7424 with a pad set. Any recommendations for a good cleaner or cleaner/polish. My plan is to wash ... clay ... cleaner/polish ... and then astroshield, a final polish I like to use.

The weather is just starting to change here in Central Florida ... I really like being outside. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks ...

Gotta add more than 1 coat of BW if your trim is quite old and dried out . The van took...dare I say it?...10 coats before it lasted months

Took too darn long for the plastic to absorb the product lol. It was that dry inside

Cleaner polish? Well, I don't know any good ones but if your paint is in alright condition, Menzerna 106FF with a white pad should be good enough to delete the minor swirls. If anything heavy, Menzerna SIP with an orange will finish them down

Of course, if your plan is to go slow and steady, use the less aggressive Menz stuff. Its what I did to get my finish almost 100% . Menzerna IP and Menzerna FPII
