Default Getting carpet professionally cleaned?

Guys,

Do you think it is worth it to bring your carpet somewhere to get it cleaned, or do you think I should just use some resolve and elbow grease? Anyone know how much people charge to clean it? I have it pulled and ready to go...

Your thoughts?

well worth it, if they use the right tools.
You can only do so much with a hand/towel and vacuum. When you scrub or dry with the towel, you can mess up the carpet pile texture and soap residue will make the carpet look dull. I noticed after i got my carpets professionally steam cleaned with an extractor is it kind of sparkles in the sun, like when it was new

It's not only the right machines (extractor/steamer), but they need to use the right chemicals. I use a emulsifier that works well as a cleaner and scrub the more soiled areas. For the harder stains, the right pre-spray for organic/non-organic stains is a must. Then, I inject/rinse and extract with an extractor.

Just make sure they know what they're doing and have an extractor and the right chemicals. Otherwise, don't pay for nothing.

I am going to give it a shot with Resolve and elbow grease today - then see where that takes me This is just a car I am fixing and flipping, so I am trying not to put any more money into it than absolutely necessary...
