Product Evaluation
I have read many helpful threads while being a CL member. There is one topic that should be covered for the new members as well as some of the older members who would like to learn more about a certain detailing product.
This thread is to evaluate any detailing product that you have used. The replies need to be unbiased and please add as much detail as possible. (pics would be great) So, lets hear about your favorite or unfavorite product.

Pinnicle Liquid Souveran:

The LS is a non abrasive carnauba based wax. It can be applied by hand or machine and needs to be used in a shaded area.
I applied the LS using my Porter Cable 7424 on speed 3 using a Lake Country 6.5" Gray finishing pad. Using the PC polisher allows the product to be put on smoother without any waste. The Ls was allowed to dry (appx 20 minutes)
and removed using the LC 6.5" Blue Finnesse pad with a 6 speed setting. Slight dusting was noted but this was easily removed using a Vroom microfiber towel.
The gloss from the LS was deep and very clear, the metallic flakes in the paint was not muted as some waxes do. The flakes appeared to "pop"
Shortly after waxing the ES we took it into town and was caught in a sudden downpoar. The beading was tight and once the vehicle was stopped, the water seemed to roll of and did not leave any spotting. After things cleared a bit, I rewashed the car using Duragloss 901 carwash and dried the car using a microfiber drying towel. The finish was not effected by the wash and none of the gloss was lost. It actually looked like it was freshly waxed.
on a 1 - 10 scale, I would probably rate it an 8+.
I would definately reccomend this product and it will be a part of my detailing kit from now on.

Come on guys....lets evaluate some produsts.
One of the reasons I started this thread is to try to save spme people a little money. Think about it...how many products have you purchased and didn't like? Your input is important so others can find out about products and save unnecessary purchases.

This is a good idea for a thread. I can only guess I missed the first posts while I was on vacation. I'll be sitting in a jury waiting room tomorrow and will be happy to contribute. I've got tons of products in the rack so I'll only focus on what I use on the Lexus fleet.
I've tried many products I didn't like over the years, but since that's so subjective I'll keep my thoughts focused on the ones I really like.
- All-purpose cleaner (wheels, wheel wells, all-weather mats, underhood):
303 Aerospace and Poorboys Bio APC are my favorites. Both are impressively effective and heavily concentrated. I ended up with a one-gallon bottle of each and between the two I've gotten nearly two years of use.
- Wheel cleaners:
I rarely use a dedicated cleaner. Generally only on wheels with a ton of brake dust buildup or general grime. Easily 90% of the time I just use car wash shampoo. That said, there are so many LOUSY cleaners out there - overly harsh acidic ones in particular - that it's important to distinguish. I've seen a number of wheel clearcoats ruined and many bare alloy surfaces that need correction as a result of these things. So....P21S and Four Star Ultimate Wheel Gel are two excellent products. Gentle on the finish, harsh on dirt.
Uh oh - jury assembly time.
I'll add more later...
