Default Help- Another Zaino Question

Hello- I am going to use zaino for the first time- I have a 01 gs (black). I am not sure if it has clearcoat or not based on a search. I currently have the zaino z3 (for the non- clearcoat). Can I safely use this if my car does in fact have clearcoat? Or should I reorder z2? I guess what I'm asking is if it's ok if you interchange the z2/z3. Will there be any harm to the paint if I have the wrong type of zaino? Thanks. Ben

You can tell if your paint is CC or not very easily. Using a cleaner/wax or an abrasive polish rub some with a white towel in an inconspicuous area and if there is black paint transfer you don't have a clear coat. I don't believe your 01 gs has a CC but this test will let you know for certain.

Neither Z2 nor Z3 will damage your paint whether it is CC or SS.

I'm 90% sure that your GS does NOT have a clearcoat. I don't know about the 3rd gen, but I'm almost positive that the 1st/2nd gen GS black does NOT have CC.
