Default '06 Detail - What PC7424 accessories?

I'm getting ready to detail / wax my car before the winter.

I have a Porter Cable 7424 that I bought a few years ago. I only used it once, but I'm wondering what you guys recommend as far as the types of foam pads I should buy for this, and how I should use them to prep and detail the car.

Also, any suggestions on where to buy them from as well would be appreciated.

I usually buy my pads from Meguiar's. I like their pads. They sell a pack of two polishing and one finishing pads for around $25. I think they still sell the pads with a backing plate for something like $32.

My routine is to wash and clay the paint then polish with Meguiar's #80 or #83 if there are a lot of swirls. I use a polishing pad at speed 5 for this. Start at a slow speed (3) to spread the polish then move the speed up to 5 to avoid splatter. Work the polish until it looks clear and wet. Don't polish until it dries.

I apply NXT Tech Wax with a polishing pad at speed 3.

I just purchased the PC 7336 kit includes yellow, orange, white, and black pads from detailersparadise.com. I used the White pad and applied Prima Amigo then when over that with the Black pad and Epic. Good stuff. This is of course after wash, clay, wash again.

Check out their line of Prima Products I highly recommend them.
