Default Basics

LS430 is now 1 month old.
a. When should I wash her for the first time?
b. What kind of soap?
c. When I wipe her off, I guess my bath towel is out of the question. So a microfiber towel is what I need?? Where do I get these?
d. How long before she gets waxed?
e. What wax?
f. Wax applicator, old diaper, old T shirt, or what?

thanks for not bashing me.

You should have washed her by now...

Any automotive soap will work. You don't want to use dishsoap because it will strip your wax.
You should be able to get everything you need at an automotive store.
I'd wax right away and get a good base coat on her. I prefer Meguire's Gold Class personally. It comes with an applicator. Use another microfiber towel to wipe off when done. I also have a computer keyboard air duster to blow off wax that gets into the cracks.

Good luck,
CV

a. Should've done so already.
b. I use Meguiar's Gold Class, just as recommended above.
c. Most automotive stores sell them for a good price, you can order them online as well. We have deals with pakshak.com
d. You can wax now, after your first wash.
e. Depends on what your looking for, there's Carnauba Wax or Synthetic Wax. Carnauba gives a deeper glossy look, but only lasts 4-6 weeks. While Synthetic wax isn't as shiny and lasts 4-6 months
f. Use foam applicators.

http://autopia-carcare.com/index.html has a guide to use teaching you this stuff.
