compound extremely hard to remove?
thanks for the compliments =). i was wondering how do people get their paint to shine so much more reflective than mine. on some cars it looks like a rear mirror. mine is only reflective when u see it in a angle. is it cause my paint is old? or because of my color?
I think you forgot the tire dressing.
Looks good. Silver is a difficult color to make pop. I prefer to use Meguiars #16 or NXT on the light color metallic paints. Some waxes that work well on dark colors just don't do much for the light colors, IMHO.
For light colors my favorite combination is Meguiar's Gold Class Wash, followed by Quick Clay, followed by #84, followed by #82, followed by #7, followed by a hand application of NXT. After 24 hours I apply a second coat of NXT.
For dark colors I like the final wax to be #26 instead of NXT.
This combination never fails to draw comments. My cars seem to glow when done.
Like my 91 MR2 which I just finished detailing.

hrm. i have never tried meguiars before. maybe i'll try that next time. the only thing is that you said my car was silver.. lol my car is actually more like a grey =x . My car is a pretty dark color. It just doesn't look like that because of the sunlight. The spruce color on the sc's looks like a mix of diff colors.
I was too lazy to apply the tire dressing lol. My friend and I were polishing those rims for like 2 hours. My rim was destroyed before from the salt/snow this winter. The rims were black and they remained black AFTER i washed them. I'm amazed that they look new again, i was about to give up on them or just send them in to get repolished. (the rim that was destroyed was the one that got repolished already. Note to anyone that gets their rim repolished.... Fork out a little more and get it clearcoated too or your rim will look like crap in less than a month) The rims looked like they had water marks ALL over the rim, the lips texture became very rough... The polish cleared everything up and the rims look nice again.
One more thing is that you mentioned a lot of #'s . Are they different types of waxes for specific colors?

There are several excellent product manufacturers to choose from and they have a wide array of products that meet different needs. I happen to prefer Meguiar's. There are a lot of Zaino fans here too.
The real thing to remember is to find the products that give you the results you like, then use them often.
The series of products I mentioned is something I do once a year. I do this in spring after winter has had it's way with the paint. After the spring detail I usually only do a polish and wax every month with a weekly wash and quick detail. Once the finish is totally clean, dirt doesn't stick as much and the car is much easier to keep clean.
Look at my pic and click on it to blow it up and I hand rubbed mine twice to get it like this :
