Question Removing wax?

I see many mentions of using "Dawn" dishwashing soap to remove wax when applying a sealant. Will any dishwashing liquid work? Also am going to try Liquid Glass, anyone have any experience with it?

Just about any dish detergent will work, as they're all pretty alkaline in PH. Make sure you rinse the car REALLY well so as not to leave an alkaline film on it before you apply the L/G.

Liquid Glass is of an older tech acrylic polymer formulation, but that doesn't mean you won't be happy with it. I know people that have used it and liked it (and some that didn't - but that's true of every product ). It does have some solvent- type cleaners in it from what I have read about it, so it's more like a "cleaner wax" except that it's a polymer technology.

Maybe someone else here can give a good thorough review on it.

Thanks for the reply. Also hearing some very good things about Collinite's 476s Doublecoat wax. Any opinions on that?

Basically I'm looking for a good product to make it through the winter using touchless car washes and possibly the occasional hand wash and not losing any protection.

ACF, The folks over at the Autopia.com detailing forums speak highly of the Collinite product, that's all I know.
