I wonder if this thing would melt the harness or housing in a long run. I don't wanna be a guinea pig hehehe

^ Agreed. You shouldn't have your reverse lights on for more than 10 seconds tops under normal usage.

Not sure if it is just my specific case or not, but the blue puddle light LED's recommended in this thread (from V-LEDS) do not fit in my 2008 IS250. The bulb is too long to allow the connection to go in all the way (I can't twist it closed).

I did test the bulb out and it is hella bright so I'm going to try to dremel down the plastic pieces that are stopping it from twisting. Wish me luck

Not specifically for CL members. You can like V-LEDs on Facebook or subscribe to their newsletter for discount codes.

Hmmm, that's weird. I bought the exact same LED and it fits perfectly. Our side view mirrors are identical. Dremeling is probably your best bet.

Looks like I ran into the same issue with the inside door reflector lights. I think maybe VLED's have updated the LED and they are a bit longer. I had to Dremel the clear plastic piece that goes behind the reflector to get the LED to fit.

It's probably a very tight fit. If you compare the length of the stock bulb, you would probably notice.

I used these.

http://www.jlclightings.com/T10-168-...-p/sku_011.htm

I also had the same problem but did not need to do any physical modification. I had to do put do a bit of pulling of the sides of the that snap on piece that goes in (without breaking it), and carefully using force on each edge to slowly slde it into place (as the piece was in contact with the LED on the inside) until it snaped. After it snaps in place, thatt pieces does slde freely as if there was a stock bulb in there (no contact with bulb).
