Almost Time For New Tires--need Help
- Aftermarket rims/tires
- Aftermarket tires only
- OEM Dunlop's
- Aftermarket tires & suspension mods
- Other
Have OEM Dunlop's; they've been good, but I know that there is better.
I like most of the after-market "rim" offerings, but the roads are so bad out here. As well, new rims do not hold value and buying used is a dice roll (bent, chipped, scratched, etc.).
Tires are expensive. That's why I'd like to weight my options. If I buy new tires, then the tires might as well accompany a rim that I desire. And, if buying new rims/tires is more expensive than I'm willing pay ($3k), then I might as well max out on an outstanding tire and quite possibly mods to the suspension, etc.
By "outstanding" I mean a tire that will perform, as well as last a decent amount of time for average to aggressive driving.
Help!!!
I've read that the Michelin's wear out fast, like 9000 miles fast.
No winters here or where I plan on going in the next two years.
All, thank you for the recommendations; keep them coming!

I will continue to lock threads about "which tires" because this subject has been so thoroughly covered. A quick search for threads with TIRES in the thread title yields 187 threads. I think this horse is pretty dead. If someone has comments about tires they've purchased, I would welcome the input, but if you are shopping for tires, you really need to search.
