FS: VaisTech SL2Vi and Prestigous Society - SOLD
Hey Guys,
I just sold my GS350 and now parting out some things. I have for sale my VaisTech SL2Vi video ipod adaptor and Prestigous Society Bypass module...
Both are great units used for less than a year. I purchase these both through Pat Chung and VaisTech.
VaisTech - 349.00 - Group Buy I paid 315.00 - SOLD
PS bypass - 349.00 Group Buy I paid 315.00 - SOLD
They work great. The bypass not only allows you to play video while driving, but also allows you to enter navigation addresses while driving. It works great and a must have for ipod users and video ipod users.
500.00 dollars shipped take them both!
Ckat238@gmail.com is my email. Let me know if you have any questions.
THanks
Christian

Yes, there is a switch. One for NAV and one for TV. You press the NAV button, you will be able to type in a destination while moving. The TV button is to watch video while in motion. I put my switch right to the side of the volume control using double sided tape.

Yeah the reason why there is two switches is because one is for watching Video while in motion. Grounding the park wire will work for this but if u have navigation then it also shuts down the gps because the car thinks it's in park. So u have one for movies which doesn't shut down the gps and the other that shuts down the gps and allows you to enter addresses while driving. Hope that clears things up.

It is the SL2Vi "Package 4" according to the VAIS Application Guide:
* Package 4 is also called SL2Vi-P4, and it is more expensive then all other packages. http://www.vaistech.com/manuals/SL2V...on%20Guide.pdf
Which is what I would have needed if my 2008 RX 350 had the "Mark Levinson with RES" (which I'm guessing stands for Rear Entertainment System?)

By looking at your prior posts, I think you had a 2007 GS without the factory DVD player, which required a Vais SL2Vi "Package 1", which would be helpful for potential buyers to know whether it is readily compatible with their car.
In my case, I have a 2008 RX 350 w/o Mark Levinson and that Application Guide indicates (in the rightmost column) that I need a "Package 3". The difference in the packages appears to be whether a Y Adapter is included. If that's the case it may be possible to buy the Y Adapter from Vais so that your SL2Vi will work with my car.
Page 7 of the install manual states: http://www.vaistech.com/manuals/Manual_SL2Vi_v444.pdf
Package 1
Standard connection open 6-pin port
Package 2
Reversed connection open 6-pin port
Package 3
Y-adapter needed 6-pin port taken
Package 4
Lexus RX 350 Multi-Display Unit shown. Locate connector “1” (6-pin connector) on your Multi-Display. Connector location on the Multi-Display unit may be different from shown here.
Package 5
Y-adapter with divider needed 6-pin port taken
Package 6
Reversed Y-adapter needed 6-pin port taken
Package 7
Reversed Y-adapter with divider needed 6-pin port taken

Christian, VAIS has an Application Guide that specifies which of four different SL2Vi packages is needed, depending on the year, model and what equipment the car has: http://www.vaistech.com/manuals/SL2V...on%20Guide.pdf

My guess is that the difference in the packages is the harness that is included. If that's the case it may be possible to buy the correct harness somewhere so that your SL2Vi will work with my car.
