Front Lower Control Arms w/ 56k, 2001 GS430
I have a pair of lower control arms for the front from a GS430, 2001 model. These run from the spindle area (2 bolts from below) in an "s" shape diagonally to the rear and attach to the body via a stud and nut.
These are a 20 min job to remove and replace per side, contrary to the shop book showing 13 steps!
1. remove wheel.
2. remove 2 bolts at spindle.
3. remove lower chassis brace via 6 fasteners
4. remove nut and remove lower control arm.
5. reverse to reassemble.
I had a noise in the front end. Reportedly these bushings can wear and cause a clunking sound as they rap against the stud; to fix the bushing the entire control arm must be replaced. A shop diagnosed these as the cause for the noise. I bought new ones installed them myself. Noise remained. Turned out my noise was a sway bar bracket loose where it connects to the frame rail. There is nothing wrong with these control arms but 56k worth of mileage.
I will sell this pair for $150 plus shipping obo. 75002.

I must point out, the only thing you are being a bearer of is misinformation.
Yes the lower ball joint you point to in your threads is a often discussed item and we all need to read that and caution and safety first.
What I have here is the LOWER CONTROL ARM, not at all the same part. I'll put up a picture of what I have for sale to clarify. And yes every buyer should do their homework, just to clarify these are not lower ball joints!!

Picture of the bushing side, this mounts to the car body at the rear of the wheel, ties into the lower triangular chassis brace.

Here is the 2 bolt mounting end, this connects to the lower control arm just about under where the strut connects. Sorry for the low quality, I can offer better pics if requested, just wanted to clarify what these parts look like.
Also to restate, these parts were changed to try to fix a clunking sound; they were incorrectly diagnosed as the source of the clunk, which was merely a front sway bar mount to the frame; the car is low mileage GS430 has always run, drive, handle and worn tires perfectly even. If someone has a high mileage car w/ worn out arms or damage from a collision these could serve you.
Also according to the diagrams these parts are the following p/n's:
48068E (RH) passenger side
48069A (LH) driver side

It could be the pics for lack of lighting .
It seems the center sleeve is not centered without any load .
That being said the bushings are not going to keep the caster .
I would be interested in buying the arms themselves but not for the bushings which look done.
Let me know a reasonable price.
thanks
