Did you have any pictures of them on the car?

Those aren't like any Borla tips I've ever seen and I wonder if these are Borla mufflers with some other brand tips welded on.

Borla use to be know for these tips they used them on everything. And lexusondubs will vouch for me anyday.

If someone can give me some feedback on these tips, whether or not they're good for the price, I will purchase them. Until then, I'd like to hold up on the transaction for now. Just need some confirmation that these are legit.

I'm fairly certain they were never offered with the 2nd gen GS exhaust from Borla. I bought my Borla stainless steel exhaust not long after they came out with it originally for the 2nd gen GS in 1999... They've only offered two types of exhaust (stainless steel and a carbon fiber) with three tips specifically for the GS (two on the SS, one oval / one rounded, and a larger set on the CF) - none were angle cut as dramatically as those are.

Perhaps this exhaust is either a generic Borla setup that wasn't marketed for the 2nd gen GS or is pieced together with different tips.

I don't mean to question you on this and don't usually do Q&A on the items being sold, but we don't don't like selling 'for a friend' on our forum partially for this reason. I'd ask you get some additional details from the original owner (where he bought them, did they have to be bent to fit, etc)

To me, they look like Borla EXHAUST mufflers, and the tips were purchased at pepboys, autozone, strauss auto, etc.

I spoke to him and he said he ordered them straight from BORLA this way. If you go on BORLA's website like I did they are called Single Round Angle-Cut Intercooled tips. Even looking at these there are no weld marks that look like they were installed afterwards.
