FS: USED K&N FIPK intake for GS400
I'm selling a used K&N intake for a GS400.
There are two things wrong with it, and they're something that can be fixed. In fact, I was able to use the intake with no problem.
1st: One of the plug for the hose was broken off, leaving probably a quarter of an inch of plug left. You can use your OEM hose and put super-glue around it (thats what I did) and it'll hold just fine. For a permanent fix: email K&N and request for a new plug.
2nd: there is a penny-size hole in the intake tube. The hole was previously used for nitrous so thats where the hole went. Take a look at the picture..i put foil tape over it to cover the hole. I've had no issues with the tape flying off or breaking so it's functioning the same as if there was no hole. If you want a permanent fix, put some sort of plastic over the hole and use plastic glue or something and glue it around. Basically anything that will hold together is good enough. For a permanent fix: get nitrous
I just cleaned/reoiled the filter about two weeks ago so it should be a drop-in install.
I will even include the CARB sticker. Those guys who are in cali will need this.
a new one on ebay goes for $250+shipping. I just sold a BRAND NEW K&N on here for $205 shipped. I'm letting this one go for $120 SHIPPED FIRM It functions like new, except it has two flaws as described above.

I tend to drive a lot more aggressive with the intake. I find myself doing 60mpg in a 45mph zone and 40 in a 25. Before the intake, I drove perfectly normal
I wish I could keep it, but I can't risk getting a ticket. The urge to floor my car is too much I had an SRT before this and I like the K&N more than the SRT, particularly because I gained back the low end power that I lost with the SRT. Not to mention, I liked how quiet it was during cruising speed, and it roars when you floor it. Basically, i'll growl whenever you accelerate, but once you are cruising, it's OEM quiet.
