Default WTB TRD Lower Brace or simular

Im looking for a TRD or simular Lower brace for a 98 GS400. Even if you got another brand try me. My stock one is getting a bit beaten up on speed bump and my driveway. All else fails let me know if you got a stock one. Let me know what you got. Heres a picture of what im looking for.

Check this one out. It looks pretty nice to me. Don't know anything about it but I might give it a try. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CARBI...QQcmdZViewItem

I don't know about shoving out that kinda money for something untested.

But then again, if it was cheap I'd say: "That's cheap, it's prob crap."

Hehe..

Yea, i saw that one and wasnt sure. My gut tells me no. Anybody got an old stock one laying around rusting or all dusty they wish to get rid of. Im thinking of just having my brother to build me one, that way I know its good. I just dont want my car to be down while he makes it. Id like to give him one to take to his shop.

A TRD one is $240 new, so don't even consider that eBay one.

To me, the Ebay one looks better built than the TRD. I am just going on the looks alone and the fact they used ovalized tubing in lieu of square. If someone was going to build a cheaper version I would imagine they would use square stock tubing like TRD. To fabricate and weld that ovalized tubing is tougher than the square. These are just my thoughts. Anyone here ever seen one of these Ebay versions in real life?

I was just reading through the GB on the Tein STB and noticed that the Carsons STB was built by Carbing. Food for thought

That was the first thing that came to mine when I saw it the word Carbing.

Cusco also offers the lower chassis brace for the GS400. It's cheaper than the TRD and Carbing bar.

From reading it, I think it's only "weighs less". I don't see anywhere that it says it's stiffer.

What I was saying is that the Carbing front lower brace is the same manufacture that built the Carsons front upper STB. My comment had nothing to do with the Tein STB. I just mentioned it because someone mentioned that the Carbing may not be of the same quality as the TRD. I figured if Carbing was a good enough company to build the STB for Carsons, its lower brace should be pretty good.
