Looking to buy a wood grain steering wheel for a 99 GS 400 like dark wood. Also would like a RMM strut bar.

There is no wood steering wheel for the 99 model. Your best bet is to retrofit yours at a place like American Stitches. The new 01+ wheels will not fit because the airbag shape and connector are different. The only way to do it is to get a 01 RX300 airbag (which has the same connector as the 98-00 GS) and 01+ wheel. You would want the GS300 wheels since these have e-shift like the 98-00 GS400s.

This combo is the ONLY one that will work. Unless you have hookups (and even then), it is going to cost. Good luck.

Well, if you want OEM then what I said above is what you need:

2001 RX300 airbag (only one that will work)
2001+ GS300 wood steering wheel to get the eshift buttons.

Sorry I do not have part numbers. Very few people have done this mod so there is not a whole lot of info on it.

Closer to $1k. I personally would not buy from them as there are enough bad stories about their service from members here. Also, the steering wheel is aftermarket and you can have the same thing doen at American Stitches for less, although not as convenient.

The other method suggested would give the OEM 01+ look with the chrome emblem at the center of the steering wheel.

he didn't use it before, neither have i

but a lot of people got their wood steering wheel from them. turn around time was out, there were some issues about the leather not matching color though

The wheel looks good how long was your wait and what kind of price was the group buy will they still honor that price?

I believe it was between 2-3 weeks. Mine was around $490 shipped but I don't know how much they charge outside the CL GB. When comparing price, make sure the thumb rests are included.
