I noticed that you have a 2k GS. You probably know but I just want to make sure. The emblems are different on the two grilles so if you were planning on reusing your current one, it won't work. Good luck on finding a grille.

FYI, there is an ebay store that sells those chrome grilles for $30 or visit http://www.autogrills.com/
I just bought a grill from them but haven't received yet

Please post back about whether you are happy with your new $30 grill. $30 is so cheap, that its not worth the trouble to DIY. I'd rather just buy one for $30. Please let us know how it looks.

Uhh..yeah that site sells the crappy grille inserts that are all over eBay. That price doesn't include the grille itself.

The reason I want a newer GS grille is because I like they way they look better than the 98-00 style, especially when DIY chromed.

You still looking for a grill? I have mine for sale, I just installed the L-tuned. This is the grill (black w/ black pearl emblem):
