Default Fs: 1998 Gs400

1998 GS400 For Sale
I am the second owner. This car has not seen the winter snow etc until this year, it was garaged previous winters. I love this car (my baby) but I can not drive this through the 2 feet of snow we have on our street. As you all know I am very particular about our two Lexus vehicles so this has been well taken care of .

79,000 miles, all service records and certificates in a binder
All manuals
original price $48,644 (window sticker)
Alpine Silver
Black Leather
Walnut Interior
Luxury Package
In Dash 6-disk CD Changer
Moonroof
HID Lights
17" Alloy rims (factory originals) with Michelin Pilot XGT Z4 tires (~1/2 tread left)
Platinum Window tint
Flowmaster exhaust Tips
No accident history, only 1 blemish on the rear bumper (about 1/2" circle mark)
2.5 years left on VSP warranty and 4.5 on GAP contract (not sure if transferrable, application must be made)

Asking price is $20,000 obo, plus shipping charges if applicable.
Thanks, hopefully one of our memebers will be able to enjoy this vehicle as much as I have. I am hoping to find an LX470 to replace this sometime soon.

Its interesting the dealer only will give 15k trade-in for this, which seems low.

Default GS400 LX470

the gs400 is probably worth $17,500 retail so the dealer has to buy it for $15,000 in order to make money and pay his employees and feed their children etc. the best way to get the best value from the dealer is to first negotiate the best price for the new vehicle that you want , get it in writting and at the last minute say "well how much off this price will you give me for the trade"if they give you $15,000 then you will save on the sales tax and only take a small bath on the trade. ps why not shop for the toyota version of this vehicle, i just got a land cruiser and saved $12,000 of the lexus version

barry gave you a good warning, many dealers will simply roll the cost from one together, ie, lower sale price for new car, less trade in money, and vice versa

Car looks clean, good luck on the sale!

Thanks. I have and will hopefully negotiate without this as a trade, then decide if i wish to trade this in. I was taken when i got the GS4 from my maxima trade in value. Ouch.. I just looked at the papers.
I do really like the sequoia, I have not seen many used LC's, I will have to search faterh away due to my remote location. I would thought like to stay in the lexus family.

Thanks for the clean comments, this is my obsession.. well that is what my wife states. She believes I clean the vehicle in excess.

Thanks
