Thanks to tim817, I put everything together, and finished this mod.
I fixed my vent, it was like doing LEGO..lolz

Took me 3~4 hrs, but hellz this worth it.

But, I have a question. Doing this mod will not override Destination area???
I can access to phone, phone book, MP3, pretty much everything, but not the destination part.
here are some moving pictures and screen with phone number pad.

You still need to use the "volume - override" to enter destinations when you are moving. I know that if you don't mind having "jumpy" nav (Nav screen playing catch up with you), you can cut one wire completely and everything will be unlocked.

Argh! I can't get the front vents off. Are the clips suppose to come pop out towards me? I pushed them and then seem to have gone in deeper into the hole. Also, where am I suppose to pry at? Can someone show me which corners should I start pulling. Also, I noticed there seems to be notches between the vent and the nav portion that prevent you from pulling out the bottom first.. is that correct? Meaning I should start on the top of the vent first.
In attempting this, I managed to pull out both of the directional vent controller piece which dropped the gear in the back. And I think I snapped a horizontal vent fin out of it's socket (it's loose now). Sooo frustrating...

Addme to the list of folks who did this successfully tonight. Always nice when it works on the first try
Some notes that may help others:
1. Do yourself a big favor and get all the tools you'll need lined up ahead of time. Wire cutter, crimper, wire connectors, 10MM driver, long, thin screwdriver for the air vents, etc. It goes SO smoothly when you have the right tools!
2. A tip - the P1 connector is actually a 3- way connector that has two additonal connector plugs that plug in just below it. Make your life a lot easier by disconnecting all three, and then you can cut and splice with ease since it will no longer be connected to the nav unit at all.
3. Take some time and remove the tape and wire sheaths to give yourself plenty of wire to work with.
4. It's IMPORTANT to note that if you plan on grounding the red wire - unlike the Vehicle Speed and Nav wires where you leave the monitor side of the wires capped/disconnected, on th E-brake (red) wire it is the wireloom side that gets capped while the monitor side gets grounded. Cut the wire close to the wireloom side so you'll have enough wire to run from the connector to the ground. I used one of the bolts(screws) on the side of the NAV unit itself and it worked fine. There's one bolt that's very close to the connector. Give yourself enough wire to work with and you'll be fine.

Hey Guys.. I finally did it all last night. At first my pink and white wires weren't making a good connection, and I was left with the jumpy navigation. So I pulled out the nav again and this time got it down right. Works great.
Only problem now is that my nav seems to have shifted and I have a slight 1mm gap on the sides of the navigation portion (not the vent portion). I dunno how this happened, and I tried moving it up and down to minimize it, but I definitely know it's a lot larger than when I first pulled it out. Anyone else have this problem? I will take pictures of the gap later.
Oh and thanks jlin101 for the tip on pulling it down. I was trying to push it up the whole time. The result was that the top left clip sorta broke and no longer locks into the down position. So I decided to make some videos to help others out with the vent. They show how the clips are suppose to work. Check them out below:
TIPS:
1. I used a putty knife with some tape on the edges to pry open the vent at the top. It's still hard, and is pretty tight into there. It does require some force to get it out. I started at the left top side, and pulled it out some, and then pushed it up from the bottom between the vent and the nav. You should notice it starting to come out as you go across.
2. Have all your tools as Tonyscv said. Makes it go by faster.
3. Pull clips down, not push up, lol.
