Why Don’t We Have the IS300h in America Again?

There’s a lot of car videos out there, but few are as enjoyable as this IS300h review from Howard Ritchie, aka HR in a Car.

Ritchie, who also happens to be a Club Lexus member, has plenty of good insight into the car, because he’s a proud new owner, who bought the hybrid “with his head, as well as heart.”

The video starts out with a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor, as Ritchie refers to himself in the third person, as a narrator might describe a movie. “He will arrive at every meeting like he’s just got out of a warm bath. And that’s because of how peaceful this car is to drive.”

From there, “our journey begins.” First person Ritchie puts the car in eco mode and drives silently for a spell. “How restful is that? I’m abundantly tranquil right now.”

Ritchie uses the quietness of the car to start playing the new game called “Let’s Creap Up On People.” Which begins another funny segment.

All in all, it’s time well spent with Ritchie in the IS300h. By the end of the review, you kind of feel like you made a new friend, who has a nice new car, which you might be interested in test driving. Of course, then you remember that Ritchie is across the pond. And that the IS300h isn’t sold here in the United States. And you’re left wondering why.
