Lexus IS-F Sedans Spark Mayhem in Moscow (Video)
Donuts, high-speed runs…this is like a real life Need for Speed — with nothing but Lexus IS-F sedans!
Before the Lexus came out with the sporty RC F and GS F, there was the IS-F. The sedan was engineered to take the fight to the BMW M3 sedan and Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. And boy did it answer the call.
Coming out in 2008, the IS-F went on sale for six years, with 2014 being the final year of production for the high-performance sedan. To take the fight to its European rivals, the IS-F featured a 5.0-liter V8 that sent 416 horsepower to the rear wheels. And later models were fitted with other go-fast goodies, including an updated suspension setup, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and a retuned version of the electric power steering system.
In the video below, from a YouTuber LIMMA, the drivers take a tetrad of IS-F sedans and lets them loose on Moscow’s roads. The sedans take turns doing donuts, high-speed runs, and other general mayhem. Overall, it’s a great video that pays homage to the incredible high-performance sedan.
While we enjoyed watching the video over and over again, we feel compelled to say that driving like a hoonigan on public roads is a terrible idea. And if you’re making a video with four sedans that happen to have V8 engines, it might be best to let the engines be heard. Either way, IS-F fans will find little to fault with the video.
