Wald Custom Lexus LS500 F Sport – Sleek, yet Angry
Aftermarket tuner has found a way to take signature Lexus F Sport styling and turn the knob to 11.
There are few luxury sedans on the market today that can rival the pure aesthetic that the Lexus LS500 presents. Styled in the F Sport trim, this LS shows off a lot more style and sportiness than one could believe out of a full-sized sedan. This styling reminds us that the fifth-generation LS shares a platform with its high-performance luxury GT compatriot, the LC500.
However, how do you take the already aggressive body of the LS and turn it up a couple of notches? Well, this is where Wald USA, a Los Angeles-based aftermarket tuning company, steps in. For some of us, even the most aggressive of OE body styles simply aren’t enough to fulfill a certain vision one has for a car. Thus, companies like WALD exist for this very reason. If you want more out of the styling of your Lexus, they can provide this with ease.
This tuner has been in business since 2003 in the US and is part of the Wald Japan banner. They consider themselves to be “a fashion leader in its sector of the automotive world.” For those customers interested, the company is even willing to build you a new car from start to finish. Meaning, they will source a new vehicle for you and make all of their modifications from a fresh template as they work with you through your build process.
While the company offers body kits and modification packages for a variety of Lexus vehicles, there was one of these that stood out to us above all others. This was the kit for the LS500, known as the “Wald Executive Line” for the fifth-generation LS. WALD offers both specific kits for base trim LS/Hyrbid LS and the F Sport LS. While both look stunning, we are blown away by how good looking the F Sport kit is.
The signature F Sport grill is already amazingly sleek, but with this redesigned front bumper with LED light bars integrated in the lower panel, this is a different level. From the side, you’re instantly drawn to the vented front fenders, which fit the aggressive profile of the LS with the new larger sideskirts.
Toward the rear of the car, we see that the rear diffuser has also been redesigned with sportier rear diffuser now featuring an LED brake light integrated. Not to mention, the ISF-style stacked quad-exhaust tips to tie it all together. An appropriate trunk lip also adds the final dash of flavor to the rear end.
All of this combined with a nice set of wheels (which Wald also makes) and a little bit of a lowering, you’d have a vehicle worth of any car show front row. We love it that Wald managed to keep the classic Lexus design cues and use them as a platform for something creative. The only think we wish for now is to see one of these beautiful vehicles in person!
