VIDEO: Lexus LC 500 Spied Testing at Highway Speed
Most days, the morning commute can be a soul-crushing experience. But some days are far better than others.
Like this morning, when one of our community managers spotted this barely camouflaged Lexus LC 500 doing a little testing on the 605 Freeway near Carson, California. Lexus’s American headquarters is nearby in Torrance, which would explain the luxury sports coupe’s whereabouts, since we don’t expect to see the car in dealerships until early next year.
Based on the LF-LC concept, the elegantly aggressive 2017 Lexus LC 500 was designed and engineered to be the pinnacle of the brand’s new emotional direction. Indeed, it has stirred up passion worldwide since debuting at the 2016 NAIAS in Detroit, becoming one of the most hotly anticipated new models around, from Lexus or anyone else.
The flagship 2 + 2 grand touring coupe, which sports a 467-horsepower naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8, has stunned folks the world over at car shows and the like. While we’ve gotten some reports of the car being filmed for commercial use, to my knowledge, this is the first video we’ve seen of the car being tested in the wild. And by golly, if it ain’t stunning to behold.
