Top 5 Misses: 2021 Lexus IS
ClubLexus members were really hoping for more power and performance upgrades. Can you guess all five misses?
In part one of our ClubLexus forum roundup, we covered the Top 5 Hits of the new 2021 Lexus IS, which was unveiled earlier this week. And while our members had some nice things to say, they were also very frank in doling out the tough love here in this 2021 IS mega-thread . We spent the day scouring the thread to pick out our favorite reactions on how the Lexus team missed the mark on their latest sports sedan. Here are the top five misses of the 2021 Lexus IS launch, according to you guys.
Blurry Presentation
We already touched on this a little bit, but several of you were a little disappointed in the actual reveal of the new car. Let’s start comments on the actual stream quality like babaijebu:
…Lexus couldn’t even do the presentation in HD? Lol
From there it was more talk about how Lexus should have really tried to hammer home to upgrades. We have Xanadu350 chiming back in again with a pretty sharp takedown of the overall reveal.
The premier presentation was a huge let down, all the presenters just kept saying the same thing over and over without really telling us the specifics about what was changed and why. When Townsend said for the 3rd time “I can’t wait to drive this thing.” I lost it.
When the second part came on, I thought great now they will tell us the specifics about suspension, driving dynamics, and exclusive F sport options but all I got was now we have 19” wheels just look at them. Then the video questions were lame and so obvious filtered.
Lexus fans, and IS fans, in particular, are a group that really enjoys digging deep into the engineering magic that makes these cars great. We get why you are upset that Lexus glossed over that.
