How-To Tuesday: Personalize That Lexus Interior

lexus interior diy updates

The luxurious interior is one of those things that keeps Lexus drivers coming back, generation after generation. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be improved upon. For this week’s How-To Tuesday article (and bonus video!), we get schooled on exactly how you can go about doing just that.

For those who haven’t been playing along, How-To Tuesday is that best day of the week when we highlight one of the super-helpful DIY articles found in Club Lexus‘s How-Tos Section. Today, we’re looking at Kate Halse’s article titled “Lexus IS: Interior Modifications.” But worry not; even if you don’t drive an IS, many of Halse’s suggestions aren’t necessarily model-specific.

Halse’s suggestions are certainly eye-opening though. I’m willing to bet that you’ll see some interior mods you never imagined before, like the custom shift knob above. Now, keep in mind, some of these mods are merely examined to show you the vast array of options available to you. So just because there’s a picture of the knob above, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s in good taste. But you’ll have to decide that, as modding your vehicle is entirely about personal taste.

Regardless of taste, if you use the article and video as a jumping-off point, you’re sure to come up with some quality leads, not just in the shift knob department, but also for steering wheels, interior trim, LED lighting, neck pillows, and Fusa or Tsuna knots. There’s even ideas about window curtains and VIP tables, just in case you want to turn your Lexus into a club at night. If so, awesome! Post up some pics! But apologies ahead of time: the name “Club Lexus” is already taken.
