Drifter X’s “Itasha” Style SC300

You’d be forgiven for thinking that this photo was taken in Japan. You’d be wrong, but forgiven. After all, the confluence between anime and cars is one that we’re not used to seeing over here. Drifter X, however, has brought the “Itasha” trend stateside with his Clannad SC300.

It should suffice to say that the Itasha look is not for every one. In all honesty, it’s probably not for most people. Anime styling aside, Drifter X’s SC300 is a pretty sweet ride. The kit is tasteful, the drop is nice, even the 18″ Volks look good. Everything is fitted correctly, and to top it off, it’s a stick. Vinyl be damned, it’s a clean SC.

Fandom has interesting ways of expressing itself. Sometimes people dress up like their favorite characters and heros, other’s dress their cars up. More power to them I say, as long as it’s done well.
