Canadian Cops Looking For Lexus Clocked at Over 130MPH
Due to safety concerns, Saskatchewan police called off pursuit. They now need public’s help to identify the speed demon.
This blurry image on the right is all that police have to go by when it comes to searching for a reckless driver. Clipped from dash cam footage, it shows a black Lexus IS 350 nearly stopped by Canadian police for a traffic violation. Suddenly the car roars off, and police are forced call off the pursuit after speeds of 213 kmh, or just above 130 miles per hour are reached.
Regina Inspector Lorilee Davies had concerns about any collision that would happen at that speed and rightly called off the chase. “When you’re traveling speeds of that magnitude and if you are involved in a collision, it’s going to be very serious and there’s a good chance there’s going to be fatalities, and obviously we want to be able to prevent that,” said Davies.
Since then, the black IS with dark rims and blue pin-striping had been observed once more, but the plate on the car turned out to be registered to a completely different vehicle, and the perpetrator escaped from the cops again.
