Add Another Reliability Award to Lexus’s Stuffed Trophy Case

You know how many car manufacturers received a top five-star rating in the 2016 Which? car reliability survey? One. Can you take a wild guess which manufacturer?

That’s right, Lexus! How’d you guess? Was it the name of our forum that gave it away? Or are you just getting so used to Lexus taking top honors in these type of things?

For this most recent survey, Which? compiled data from over 60,000 car owners. They sought to quantify the ownership experience to account for breakdowns, repairs, faults, and number of days a car was out of commission.

Aside from earning the otherwise elusive five-star rating, Lexus also took home a couple of category awards too. The NX was named the best new compact SUV. The second and third gen RX were named the two best large, used SUVs. The CT 200h was called a “best buy.” And the IS and GS both placed in the top four in large and luxury car categories.

We know: surprise, surprise. But hey, just because Lexus wins a lot of awards and tops a lot of customer satisfaction surveys, that doesn’t mean we ever get sick of reading stories like this. Right?
