2020 RX F Sport Gets TRD Body Kit

It looks good

So you want to buy a crossover but you're not completely taken with the mundane looks that come along with one. Well, TRD has heard you loud and clear and made a body kit for the upcoming RX that adds just enough angry but not enough to give off any poser racer boy vibes. 

Nothing is free

The kit is made up of a front lip, side skirts, fenders, and a rear diffuser. The optional aspects of the kit are a sport muffler, and the choice between 21 or 22 inch forged aluminum wheels. There is also a front and rear performance damper set that can be had for some additional coin as well.

We like nice things too

The not so great aspect of this ground effects kit is that is just for Japan. Yup, we can't have it here in the states. We looked and tried to find any reason why Toyota has decided not to bring it over for the US and could only come up with vapor. Excuse us Toyota HQ, but we like angry things here in the states too!

Starting at the base

Coming right off of the dealer showroom floor is the 2020 RX 350 F Sport with a 3.5-liter V6 packing 295 hp and 268 lb-ft of torque. Being that this is a crossover with some heft to it, the 0-60 takes almost 8 seconds. So red light racer it is not. But that's okay because that's not what this vehicle was made for. Besides, there's nothing wrong with having an attractive CUV to roll around in comfortably with decent gas mileage.

Admiring from afar

If you're wondering about what these would cost you if we had access to the parts, the total body kit comes to about $6,110 while the sport exhaust is around $2,680. Those additional wheel choices are $1,500 for the 21-inch set and $1,530 for the 22s.
