Debate: Whats the difference between EXE and VIP?

this is how the new vip style works:
dumped, extremely nice-fitting wheels, and clean lines
exe works like this:
lowered, wheels that look good, and simple lines (e.g. stock or oem front+rear spoiler)
then there's people who just dont care and do what they feel.
take mines for example. i am dumped, wheels that look good, and lines that look clean and simple. older gen car but w/e:
(i dont have my sides and rear fitted yet)

I posted this on another forum. There are exceptions where some components from both styles are combined. Dont take things too serious, just build your own car the way you like.
EXE
wheels- take little to no fender work to fit. You dont even need to have wheels with a lip.
Tires- dont need to be stretched much since the fitment of the wheel isnt pushing the limits
Fitment- Wheels dont need to be kissing the fender lip but they can not be too sunken either
Body kits- are real simple and clean. EXE cars usually run clean lip kits example- Wald.
Height- Doesnt have to be slammed to the ground but is still atleast 3" lower then stock.
negative Camber- not needed since the wheel fit
VIP
Wheels- Low offset wide width wheels that take fender work to make them fit. Deep dish wheels are popular
Fitment- Usually kissing the fender or within 5mm from it. lately, its become accepted to tuck the rear wheels when slammed.
Tires- Are stretched a noticable amount to help fit these wheels
Bodykits- This doesnt matter. You can have an EXE type kit and still have the vip look. The guys in japan all run custom kits consisting from multiple ideas from different kits.
Height- has to be slammed. The fender gap must be really low as does the space between the bumper to the floor.
negative Camber- Usually found on these cars to help fit some wide, low offset wheels

there's not really guidelines for interior. a vip car may have anything from damn near stock to wild or anything in between. an exe car will most likely have a stock luxury feel even if it is modified.

nope, you're looking at it from the wrong perspective. "vip mods" do not make a vip car, a vip car constists of mods (only limited by your execution).
when this thread was started ppl were still trying to define vip to the point where a set of "rules" was layed out and generally accepted. most of those rules have been destroyed within a couple years.
right now you can do damn near anything you want on a slammed platform and, as long as it's well executed, it will not take away from your vip status. you can go as subtle or aggressive as you want, mild to wild, bling bling to sport... it's all getting play right now.
