Tpms
Hello
I purchased winter OEM wheels and tires with TPMS off of a 2006 is350.After driving for a week, the amber TPMS light flashed and went steady.Took it into dealer and they told me the older monitor is not compatible with my 2014 model. I was traveling so did not want to adress it immediately. Service Manger said it would be about 150 to fix. Is this a reprogram, or would they have to change all sensors? Can my indie do this or am I forced to go to Lexus? Thanks in advance.

If you don't mind the annoying light for a few winter months, just leave it. Oops just noticed you're in Ottawa, it may be worthwhile to swap them out. $150 for parts and labor sounds too cheap from a dealer. It must be a reprogram.

tpms sensor nearing the end of its battery life. these tpms sensors do not allow for a battery replacement and have to be replaced and reprogrammed. it might be better to swap out the original tpms sensors from your stock wheels and have them installed.

Since we have snow for almost half the yearI will be contacting the dealer about the options, as having the light on is not an option. Thanks for all the good info.
