LX470 Tire upgrade
There is probably a small group of us out there that actually will use the fantastic capabilities that this vehicle has to offer and for those I am attaching the following pictures. I changed out my stock 265/70R16 Michelin LTX tires today for Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's in a 285/75R16 fitment. The truck looks so much beefier now, and can actually be used off of the pavement without looking silly. The ride has only a hint more road noise but it is still "Lexus" quiet.
Below is a picture of the Dueler on the left and the Michelin on the right:
There are no rubbing issues even with our cool air suspension on all settings. Below is the Low, Normal, and High settings.
Hope this may help anyone who is looking to do a mild performance upgrade to take the vehicle to the places it wants to go.

Does it handle and different or does it accelerate slower with the bigger treads?

So far I haven't noticed any really shifts in the handling. I will check the speedo this week and I should be able to begin to gather gas mileage numbers this week as well. Thanks!

So you do plan on taking your LX offroading? Thats awsesome if you do...good for you!!
These are ment for offroading!
People buy HumDizzles(H2's) just for the streets and looks then will return it because of back problems or they cant handle the big ride. O well
What kinda of trails do hit up?

Well I'm going to try to get together with some 'cruiserheads and do some trails in East Texas that are a mix of rock crawling with some mudholes thrown in for fun. Nothing extreme obviously since the vehicle is still bone stock besides tires but I'll def. share pictures if I an get a trip arranged soon. I used to have a 4Runner that I took on the trails in Tellico (N.C.) and i would like to do the same with the LX as I will be relocating to S.C. in May of next year. I want to take advantage of the trailriding here in Texas while I can.

Thanks Tabraha, you got any pics that show the whole vehicle? I'm curious to see how it looks with the beefier tires. I'll be in the market for some new tires soon, nice to know that 285/75-16s will fit. That size should take your ground clearance from the stock 9.8 to I'm guessing about 10.5, as well as give you a nice little boost in approach and departure angles BTW, I noticed you listed your stock tire size as 265/70-16, actual stock size is 275/70-16, maybe it was a typo? From what I hear on other boards, the AT REVO is a good off-road tire. However, I did some light off-roading in my LX with the stock LTX / MS tires and had no complaints, I've got pics posted in THIS THREAD P.S., thanks to all you guys who voted for my pic in the recent contrest

I think the previous owner must have changed the tires out from 275's to 265's. You are correct 275's are stock. I'll measure ground clearance tonight and try to get some pics of the whole vehicle then. It looks so much nicer from the back with those tire hanging down below the mud flaps!
BTW that looks like a nice trail to cruise down!
