Unhappy Wheel Upgrade

Hi All,

I'm looking to upgrade my wheels. I've got a 1999 Pearl White GS300...with Stock 16" Chromes.

I don't want to do any suspension work just yet.

I really love the VOLK GT-N Gold wheels. I think the GOLD would match the Gold Package on my car the best! Anyone have an opinion on the VOLK GT-N's versus the Blitz Techno Z1's both in GOLD?

I need to know the offset and possible Tire Sizes for 17", 18", 19" upgrades.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Thanx all!

Regards,

offset: +37 to +50

also a search would give you even more info

Talking 16" Chromes

I've got the 16" chromes currently....just looking for an upgrade for a stiffer ride. Anyone got any clue if the ride height on the GS300 is different from a GS400??

I suggest for u to lower ur car if u get any wheel over 17in. or else ur car will have major wheel gap. Trust me it doesnt look pretty, I speak from experience.

Well, upgrading the wheels won't give you a stiffer ride. You'll get more feedback from the road and the car will feel more planted.

I've seen white/gold GSs before, it looks good. But since your putting on racing wheels I'd suggest a drop at the same time. Racing wheels and no drop kinda sends a mixed message.

Let me see if I can find a pic or 2.

Default Effects on droppin.....

I know I know I know.....hehe....I hate the WHEEL GAP!!

I dropped a few cars in the past, and I've had nothing but numerous problems with suspension.....along with bent rims...etc..

If I do attempt another aftermarket drop, especially on my new GS300, I'm going to have to do it RIGHT! =)

Got any suggestions as to what I need to do to perform a complete Coilover drop? I am really concerned about a few issues here though:

1. CAMBER
2. WHEEL OFFSET
3. EFFECTS ON AXLES, CV BOOT...etc..
4. Effects of Weather on aftermarket suspension components...(Chicago's Weather SUCKS!)
