Tire noise at low speed,, please help!!!!!!
hello all
I have a LEXUS IS 300 2007 ( gcc specs) 3 LITER V6,, I have a problem at low speeds (upto 60 km/h) i feel the tire rolling and humming sound although the windows are closed completely. I went to the dealer brakes are okay calipers okay,,,,, The tires are all new bridgestone GR90 which are supposed to be quiet tires ,,, i have another problem which is the wind noise at high speeds dealer cant say anything except " its a sports car, its normal" buy a LS 460 if you want to feel complete quiet cabin",, of course LS 460 is not in my budget at all..
If anyone can help me out please let me know
I have my radio off at most times but even when its on i can still feel the rolling when i brake at low speeds..
Don't know if anyone else has the same concerns!!!
thank you all

How many miles are on the tires? Maintenance on them? Pictures of them (include inside shoulder if possible)...
Also, a bad wheel bearing may exhibit the same types of noise issues, but may be undetectable, as in it won't be loose or run rough with the vehicle not driving on the ground (on a lift as it would generally be diagnosed)

HELLO mitsuguy
The tires have only 3500 kms on them,,still brand new,,, the shop says it wearing evenly,, so you suggest i ask the dealer to change the bearings of the two front wheels what ever it is as they say the bearings are okay.........
Thanks

There are other possibilities, but that is one that is often overlooked or almost undetectable... One diagnostic you can do your self, at slower speeds, swerve slowly side to side... If the noise gets louder when swerving left, its generally the right bearing and vice versa... If no change, might not be a wheel bearing...
