Default whats the deal with kumho's?

ok i've done some searches on kumho's and get two views on them that are on different ends of the spectrum...one group says they like them, great price, quiet ride, good if you don't want alot of performance....another group who says they were terrible and had to switch immediately.

to those who don't like them what was the reason?

I'm looking for 245/40/18's all the way around, something that will give me decent tread and a quiet ride for a good price. anyone who has had kumho's or has dealt with them can you please post your experiences.

For the price, they are a great value.

Ive had kumho for a while now and I like them alot, they are made of pretty good quality for there price you really cant beat them, if you drive your car like your on a track all the time then these tires will do fine, if you do alot of canyon driving and need the preformance then I would look some where else since kumho are not the best preforming tire

Well from my experience, a lot of guys use the Kumho's on the track because they work well. I have a few buddies that have these on various cars including a VR4 (very heavy car...like ours) and he loves them...tears up the canyons all the time.

These tires are so inexpensive that you might as well buy a set...if you really hate them, I'm sure someone will take them off your hands...personally, if they had the sizes I needed, I wouldn't have any problem buying them.

Yeah, these are some of the most inexpensive tires out there...too bad they don't make enough 19" and 20" applications...that's what I love about the S-03's...nearly any setup you could want....
