Default High Speed on the car balancing? Need your feedback if you had it done

here in the Atlanta area, Butler Tire offers this service and balances up to 120mph while wheels are on car. They say it's better because everything like rotors and hubs are spinning also and provides a smoother and more accurate balance. I already have this posted in the LS forum, just trying to get some feedback..here is the thread if you don't mind replying there..thanks

posted... from now on, put that stuff in tires and wheels section... highly doubt you'll find experts on that stuff perusing the Atlanta subsection...

With modern equipment, computer road force balancing etc. I don't see much value in paying more for this service unless you are already having a problem that normal methods aren't capable of solving.

My GS400 used to have aftermarket wheels that didn't match up well with my hubs and hubcentric rings didn't quite fix it. When I was traveling around 65-75 mph I would get a bad shimmy....any faster or slower and is was barely noticeable but since that is a common speed it almost drove me crazy. I had an old school tire shop that does a lot of custom wheels that did this spin balance and it solved my problem 100%.....but I couldn't rotate my tires without having it done again. I got tired of it and went back to OEM wheels and any "roadforce" machine does a perfect job that doesn't have to be redone.

Bottom line....do it if your having problems but if your tires can be balanced w/o this it is just a waste of money IMO.
