Default Question about tire size for my GS

I have a 99 GS with the new GS350 18x8 wheels. My car is lowered using the tein Flex kit, but not slammed or tucked. I am currently using 235 45's with about 2 fingers clearance in the rear and 1 in front... No issues with rubbing at all. I was wondering though, if I could use a 225 50 tire?? Eagle F1 all season tires...

Thanks,
Rock

A 50 series tire will have a thicker side wall than the 45 series.. You want to go bigger?

Default Tires

Yes, I want a taller tire, since my car is lowered.... Plus I am being offered a good deal on this size... I just want to insure I won't rub anywhere inside the wheel well.. Especially up front. I have H&R 25mm spacers in the rear.

Thanks,
Rock

Goodyear tires run big in size. It may work in the rear but chances are it's going to rub pretty good in the front.

If you have OEM GS300 16" wheels/tires, then you are talking about 0.7 inch additional overall diameter (or +2.61%) with 225/50/18. It may not be a problem or very little rub if there is up front.
