Any fix for leaking rims?
I have an 2001 ls430 with factory chrome 7 spoke 17" wheels.
Two of them leak around the edge where the chrome is deteriorating.
Kinda like oxidation.
Still look good from the face side.
I understand this is a fairly common problem.
Is there any fix for this (sealant, etc) that won't break the bank, or is the solution new wheels or rechroming?
Any ideas where to find used ones?
Thanks for any insight or suggestions.

couple options... 1, you can rechrome or replace, both expensive options... 2, you can take the tire off the wheel, and seal with bead sealer - cheap, labor intensive, and will need to be done by a tire shop - the downside is that it is not a permanent solution, they will start leaking again 3, take wheels to wheel repair place and have them grind off the chrome only on the inner lip of the wheel... basically, they put the wheel on a lathe and turn the chrome off that area - this works great, is permanent, and probably costs between $75 and $150 per wheel
