285/30 on a 20x9.5?
Here's the deal, I've got 20x8.5 w/ 245/35 in the front and 20x9.5 w/ 275/30 in the rear, Falken FK452's on a 2GS.
I blew a rear tire last night and will be replacing both of them, I'll probably stick with the 452's since the fronts are still alright.
The front tires are more "square" with the wheel than the 275 rears which the sidewall is a more angled, and the front has just a little more sidewall.
I was thinking a 285 tire would fit the 9.5 more like the 245 does on the front 8.5 but from what I can tell, everybody seems to think a 285 is too wide for them? Anybody have experience with how a 285/30 Falken would fit on these wheels, I don't want the sidewalls bulging out or anything but I'd be happy with them fitting kind of flat, like a 80-90 degree angle? I've got enough fender clearance to fit a 285 but I'm a little worried about how they'd fit the wheel.
