1998-2000 LS400 wheels ok on a 1991?
I have the opportunity to get a set of 1998 LS400 wheels. I have a 1991 with the 15" sawtooth wheels. Will they work, offset wise? And for tires, I was planning on getting a set of Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S, the BFGoodrich Traction T/A V or H or the Goodyear Eagle GT-HR in 215/55-16. These tires have a good treadlife warranty, since I vaporized through my current Contis at 25,000 miles. But, I need a good compromise between handling and treadwear.

But since you are going to run them in the winter a skinnier tire is better for traction... but I'd still go with 225's.... 215's IMO are too narrow...

I can see if the 225/60-16s off the 1993-2000 cars work, and that will also give me the choice of dropping down to a T-rated/high mileage tire like the Michelin HydroEdge or the Goodyear Assurance TripleTreds.

assurance triple treds are very good all season tires, check out the ratings on tirerack, mom has them on her avalon (after replacing POS OEM MXV4 energy tires). They will probably last 50k miles at least
