Almost done wheels shopping just one more question.
Mods, please dont move post yet. I need this info ASAP so I can order my wheels, then you can delete the post. Thank you
So I have the guy on the phone right now as I am typing this to order my volk wheels. I just have a quick question so I can order my wheels. Which offset to get? Also what rear tire size 275/35/19 or 275/30/19?
I am getting my 19" wheels and need to know what offset is better. Keep in mind also I WILL BE LOWERING MY CAR.
For the front I have a choice of 36 or 46 offset. Both have a 50 mm lip. Wheel is 8.5 width
For the rear I have a choice of 40 or 36 offset. (40 offset has a 69 mm lip)
Wheel is 9.5 width (36 offset has a 81mm lip)
Thanks for you quick responses

second page look at the matador red IS with Volk SF challenges would give you an idea of what tire sizes wheel widths and offsets you need. Cant comment on dropping since no one has dropped their car outside the sport package

Ok thanks for the help guys. I just ordered my wheels.
I actually spoke with one guy from Japan that works for Volk Racing and he said on the front 36 offset and on the back 40 offset.
I also spoke with a gentlemen from Makin Industries (i guess they own or is a part of volk/ray/work wheels) and he said 36 offset front and 36 or 40 offset rear.
I ended up going 36 offset front and back. (36 on back so I can have the 80mm or 3.19 inch rear lip.
I will post pics as soon as I get them on the car. If anyone else is looking for a good deal on volks let me know and I can send you to the guy where I bought them from. Cheapest that I found from the 7 places I got quotes from.

Actually one more question. What tire size should I use on the back 275/35/19 or 275/30/19?
I used the discount tire tire calculator: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos
and it seems like the 275/35 would be better. I wonder why some people are using 275/30/19 since it makes your tire and wheel 1) easier to get bent or damage 2)makes your car read a little slower than you are actually going (as supposed to faster) 3)probably make the gap between the tire and fender look even bigger than it already is due to the overall diameter being 1/2 an inch smaller
Thanks again for the input

Welll, as far as you are still not telling us whats the width of them rims that you got, no one here could help you out. Who did you talk to at Mackin? if it was Phill, you are in a good position where you dont have to double check, but i forgot his name (mike...ish..) but, OMG.. he gave me all mixed up offset for my G35 sedan and EVO... i had to go through so much things..
anyways, good luck with your rims, and tires... 275/30/19.. because way our car designed, the rear fenderwall have to modify to fit 35 tirewall. Also, the rear is a bit lower than front, so you dont have to worry about the gap between fender and tire is unmatched front and rear.
