I'm uneducated about tire and wheel sizes, but I am thinking of purchasing a wheel/tire set for my new car.

Currently, my IS has 18" wheels with low profiles. But will these fit:

19"x 8" with 40mm offset; 5x114.3/ 5x4.5 bolt pattern; 225/35/19 tires.

I would appreciate any information you can provide. Thanks in advance!

i think the wheels will fit fine since the stock is 18x8 45mm offset front and 18x8.5 50 offset in the rear. another member here on the board is running 19x9 and 19x10.5 with 43 offsets and says it clears fine. the tire size seems to be way undersized though sounds like those wheels probably came off something like an accord or prelude that was 5 lug.

Thanks. If anything, I'll use up these tires and upgrade to better ones later. We'll see how it goes...

or you can try and stagger the tires. maybe use like a 245 or 255 for the rear, it may look a little strange on the wheel since its only 8" wide. what wheels are these? just curious to know, since i'd like to see different wheels on the 2g IS.

The wheels are Diablos and they won't be staggered like stock. The IS regularly has 8" and 8.5" widths, and I wish I could have gotten the rims staggered like the stock 18s. But it's what they got at a good price and it's what I'm thinking of getting.
