OK so what does everyone do with the speedo correction for the GS with 19'or 20's??Im thinking about installing a yellow box to correct it.Mines is about 10% off. I measured my distance from work which is 50.1 miles and the Lex said 45.6..I have 19's and wanna correct it..Anyone else use a yellow box..And yes Ive searched but found nothing definite..Thanx

umm.... how can it be off by that much?? what tire size you got? even with fat tire setup on 19s, you should just hae the same spec as 20s with normal tirs, it's about 3 to 4% off, at most 6%?

ummm what's stock tire? 235/45/17? the overall diameter should be 25.3
if it's 245/45/17, then diameter is 25.6

if it's 245/35/19, which is what you have, then diameter is 25.7

Yup. What stock tire are you running? I don't even think the Lexus speedo is calibrated that tightly.

On the GS300, you could have gotten the "comfy" setup of 215/60/10 which translates to 26.2 diameter or the "sporty" 225/55/60 which is 25.7. I don't think Lexus calibrated all GS to the specific tire sizing.

With that said, I don't think any OEM GS tire sizing made the diameter 24.5.

Also just curious. How did you measure the distance?

It was a rough measurement..I placed the tread against the wall and measured back. The 19's I did the same thing. All said the speedo is off.Ive been traveling this distance for 9 years so I know the trip isnt 45 miles. Before I put the 19's on it showed 50 miles so its definitely changed.Does everyone just live with it or has anyone used the yellow box to calibrate. Will the stealerships even do it??

Not that it does not exist but I don't know of anyone who has recalibrated.

Most people don't worry about it, or just compensate in their heads for the diff. I do believe the dealer can adjust the speedo if you want it done though.

HAHA. LOL. I don't even have an idea how that happened. I got each number half right. Not sure how the 0 got in there.
