the best ones are probably the oem rotors. i've always liked the hawk hps pads. They give me a hard bite without much brake dust. I also don't get any squeel from them.

Drilled or Slotted Discs
From all research I have done the slotted are supposed to be the better of the 2.
The drilled rotors are weakened when they are drilled and are very prone to warping.

I agree with this. the stock calipers don't cut it when it comes to braking peroformance. for a littl over 200 bucks you cannot go wrong with the 4 pot monoblocks.
if you need brake system upgrade the definitive person to go to is aliga. when you are ready PM him.

Upgrading to LS400 4 Pot Calipers

When Upgrading SC400 to LS400 front calipers do you need to change rotors as well ?
Will stock 16 inch SC400 wheels take the LS400 calipers?
Are pads the same for SC 400 calipers and LS400 calipers?
PM'd you about this but maybe best if you post this info so all will know what is needed to do this upgrade.

He and One Hot have posted threads about the LS 4 Piston Brake upgrades.
Here is Gazi's thread:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=144905
And One Hot's long thread with all the details on installation:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=120615
And just to answer your questions briefly.
Yes, you need LS400 Rotors.
The stock SC wheels will not clear, you need either Supra Rims or aftermarket high disk set up rims to clear the bigger caliper.
The brake pads are different.
Search is your best friend.
